I think i've fixed it. Please re-download bigocaptcha and try again.

As I see, this site doesn't return cache-control information for any page, so Captcha image is not cached also.
But in general, Joomla! sites do cache pages, so on my site I see cached image instead new one :-(.
Do you need help to solve this issue in your Captcha plugin?

Why is it not animated in IE? Now I understand why in IE there is always at least one character that is really difficult to read; it is half-hidden under a wave (took me 5 times to submit this in IE!).
Yes it is
Thanks

Have you timed your captcha? I did, did again, scratched my head, looked into the source, and by now ended up with something looking mostly the same but taking a second, not four. Recalculating a transformation matrix once each pixel instead of just once, assembling and reassembling color values into associative arrays each iteration, instantiating a class for each pixel, all avoidable performance drains. PHP still is as far from adequate for image processing as possible, but factor four is not to be laughed at, either, I think. It's not so much having the clients waiting, but server load...
I'm not quite done yet, but if you're interested in seeing my version, drop me a line.
Muito Obrigado!

I seem to recall it needed a particular php module - can you suggest what that might be?
thanks,
